Sharpening and Prices
Based in the spa town of Ilkey, West Yorkshire we mainly offer our sharpening services by way of personal drop offs. So if you're in the area and would like your knives/scissors/garden tools sharpening then pop in during our opening hours, leaving them with us and we'll send you a text when they're ready for collection.
We sharpen every week and almost always have everything ready for collection the same week it was dropped off.
It's important to convey that due to the nature of our business we cannot offer a "while you wait" service. However, If you are making a special trip to see us from out of town we do encourage you to contact us first, as we may be able to get your items sharpened whilst you check out the sights of Ilkley, just get in touch to chat about timings.
Customers from further afield are welcome to post items to us by prior arrangement, contact us to discuss.
We’re enthusiastic about sharpening at Community Cutlery, if you’ve got a knife that you’re using day in day out for preparing food, it definitely needs sharpening, whether it’s by us or not it, it really does make cooking quicker, easier, safer and more enjoyable and we cannot recommend enough, give it a go and see for yourself!
Knives are the items we sharpen most of but the same principle applies to scissors, secateurs, hatchets, machetes, loppers, shears, chisels and any number of other carpentry and woodworking tools, if your going to use them then why not keep them sharp?
